The rooms we're kind of small and they put two people in a one-person room is what it seemed like to me what other than that everything was okay we did have a problem with our TV not working in the room when we first got there but a staff finally came and switched out the TVs after trying to cycle out the power to reset the device two or three times he finally went over to the next room and grab the TV from there and everything went fine after that all in all it's a pretty good place to rest your head especially if you've been on a long trip or been on the water all day some of the stuff is kind of outdated you can expect that with small town hotels and motels for that matter but the hospitality was great the people around there are super friendly and welcoming to strangers and newcomers as they should be considering it's near a tourist attraction.

Stayed here with my sister. The views are great. The food is great and affordable. Our room was clean and comfortable. Most importantly for me, it really is handicap accessible. There is a lift for the pools. The shower in our room was walk/roll in. The staff was helpful with anything I needed. They are very accommodating. This is the first time I've been truly comfortable with my stay at a hotel/inn as a wheelchair user. I loved being here.

So when winter storm Fern hit, these people stepped up! I was sent out to help restore power here at Pickwick and they housed and fed us! The staff was absolutely amazing and the food was great. They went above and beyond for us! So grateful for them and the hospitality. 2 names I can remember were Kim and Molly. I had power and warm place to stay, all while I can remember Kim being out of power and still working there for us. We finally were able to get her power back on probably on the 9th day. She was always so positive and so appreciative. Thanks again to all who were there for us, while we were there for you.

This is a nice lodge. I would stay here again. Each room has an attached balcony that allows you a view of the water. There are multiple areas to congregate with others. I enjoyed the indoor fireplace, the high ceilings, and the complementary coffee. The only thing that would have made our stay better is free breakfast or at least decreased lodging costs. If we are paying such high prices, it really doesn't make sense to also charge for the breakfast on the weekends while those who stay during the weekdays receive free breakfast. Portions that were received were underwhelming, so I can't figure out why anyone would feel inclined to go to the dining room unless you're simply interested in the views of the water from your table. I would have been happy with pre-packaged muffins or some cereal for the price that it cost. I know there were plenty of amenities, so I can't be too ungrateful for all that was offered. It just didn't make sense as to why weekdays got free breakfast, while weekends were expected to pay for small amounts of food. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Our first time to stay. The rooms were nice and clean and the restaurant has great food. Not to complain, but the free Continental breakfast was lacking. My standards are not set too high for free but Hampton Inn's breakfast was a feast in comparison.

Nice hotel, clean and spacious rooms, and the beds were comfy. We used the pools and kids enjoyed it. Went for a good walk around the river, then sat on the balcony and enjoyed the weekend. Staff was polite and courteous. We didn't try food because we ate outside. Overall a very nice place for a weekend getaway.

We were there for bingo. It was a lot of fun and we plan to go again next month. Our server was friendly. As for the food it leaves a lot to be desired. The cooks made 2 mistakes on our table order, but were easily fixed.

What a great experience! It far exceeded my expectations. Grounds are beautiful, rooms are great and the restaurant was unbelievable. I decided to eat there after a long drive. I live in Charleston and saw shrimp & grits on the menu. I asked my server Molly about it and she highly recommended it. I was skeptical because Charleston is the hub for great shrimp & grits. Anyway, I ordered it and it came with two sides. I selected a Caesar salad and onion rings. The sides were huge. I also ordered two glasses of wine. The shrimp & grits would be top 3 in Charleston!! I get the bill - $40. I couldn't believe it. The meal I had would have been $80-120 in Charleston and I would have walked away going "boy that was good." Molly was terrific and the lodge is a gem.
